This page is a sample of the client portal that an owner might see when they login to view the status of their aircraft. On this page, they can find the airworthiness status of their aircraft, documents associated with their aircraft, and an “action journal”, which logs any and all things done on their aircraft.
Unfortunately, your aircraft is grounded for maintenance or inspection purposes.

This engine has been consistently experiencing high CHTs, averaging between 430 and 450 degrees. On these engines we'd like to see below 400, with 350-380 being optimal. On 11/17/23, we discovered a missing plate from the inter-cylinder baffles, allowing air to escape from the top side of the engine to the bottom without first passing through the cylinder fins to dissipate the heat. We ordered parts, yesterday, the 18th. Today we removed the right side inter-cylinder baffling to facilitate the new baffles when they arrive mid to late this week. We also removed the entire landing light system, as it was bulky, heavy, and in the way. This is a daytime, VFR airplane, and a landing light system is an over-complication.

Today we ordered the parts that our inspection necessitated, two inter-cylinder baffling kits, and a fuel hose. The total for the baffling was for $314.14, and the hose was $128.21, for a grand total of $442.35.

After having consistently high CHTs, and low oil temperature, we downed the airplane for maintenance. Upon a visual inspection with no defects noted, we had a local A&P/IA take a look at everything, and he discovered that the left side inter-cylinder baffle had a hole in it. He also advised we replace the fuel line from the fuel servo to the flow divider, not because it would be contributing to the problem, rather that it is old and brittle, and can be a potential engine fire hazard if it were to fail. Unfortunately we will need to order parts for the airplane, two sets of inter-cylinder baffles, the connecting pins, and the hold down plates. As for the hose, that is a custom-built part, and Aero Hose Shop is going to make a new one protected with firesleeve.
